reconciling-ministry

Welcome home to your neighborhood church serving the Brookside, Waldo, and Country Club Plaza areas!

We are so glad that you have joined us today. We are a faith community that loves God and others in word and deed.  It is our  utmost prayer that you will discover that CCUMC is a place for you to grow in relationship with God, through Christ, and be led by the Holy Spirit with others committed to a lifetime of faithful living.

Our Mission

To make new disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Our Vision

Growing Together In Grace With God and Others

Celebrate—Cultivate—Communicate

We at Country Club United Methodist Church welcome and affirm into the full life and ministry of our church people of every race, ethnicity, age, faith history, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, family configuration, physical ability, mental ability, educational status and economic status. We celebrate the gifts that God sends through the diversity of God’s people, and declare ourselves to be a Reconciling Congregation.

Your first impressions of Country Club may remind you of the neighborhood church where you grew up—a comfortable, beautiful, traditional church. Within this setting, Country Club offers inspiring music, relevant messages, and opportunities for meaningful service.

Residents of the Country Club District of Kansas City started the church in 1913 because there was no Methodist church between Westport and Waldo. Since then, Country Club has provided nearly a century of community service, has produced several generations of community leaders, and continues to welcome those who seek to learn more, love more, and serve God more in our world.
