Why visit? For many of us, it was a change in our lives that brought us to Country Club UMC—new city, new job, new baby, new relationship. For those of us with lots of “new” in our lives, this welcoming community of faith was a great discovery!
All are welcome to visit in their quest to find a spiritual home.
Why come back? You will probably have questions about where you would be most comfortable—which study group would suit you, what community outreach or mission projects could best use your skills, which people are experiencing similar life situations, and how your life can improve through a stronger relationship with God. You can try a variety of classes or projects as your needs and interests evolve. Come to build a stronger relationship with God and also find fun, friends and family.
How to join: When you are ready to offer your prayers, your presence, your gifts, your service and your witness to this church there are several ways to become a member. Our pastoral staff will help you identify the most appropriate method of joining.
Many people join Country Club UMC by transfer from another United Methodist church or from another Christian denomination. If you have been a member of another church but have been inactive for a period of time, you may join through a reaffirmation and renewal of faith. For those who have been baptized but were never confirmed as a member of a church, you may join by making a profession of faith and becoming confirmed. And those who have never been baptized or been a member of a Christian church may choose to join through an adult baptism.
A special class is offered several times each year to help new members explore what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ and understand what distinguishes Wesleyan theology, the foundation of Methodism, from other theological traditions.
