Holy Week 2025
At Easter, United Methodists across the world join with other Christians to celebrate the Risen Christ!
The journey to Easter begins on Ash Wednesday as we pause to reflect on this holy day of repentance. As we move through the 40 days of Lent, we may choose to praise and worship the Lord; to read the Bible more, and to pray more often, all in preparation for celebrating the most sacred of days.
When Holy Week is upon us, we contemplate Jesus' final days on Earth, an intense time of joy, betrayal and mourning, all leading up to the most glorious day when we rejoice in Christ's Resurrection on Easter!

PALM SUNDAY is the start of Holy Week and an opportunity to remember Jesus entering Jerusalem cheered by the crowds who lined his way with palm branches.
MAUNDY THURSDAY celebrates Jesus offering the command to '"love one another," modeling this love by humbly serving his friends..
GOOD FRIDAY marks Jesus' arrest, trial and death. We gather to consider the suffering of Jesus and our betrayal of his love.
EASTER surprises us with the resurrection of Jesus and the Good News that we too are invited to enjoy new life.
