Every environment teaches.

Classrooms at The Grove Early Learning Center are intentionally designed to feel like inviting, child-sized studios rather than “rooms full of stuff.” From our infant spaces to our pre-K rooms, you’ll find natural light, cozy nooks, art materials within reach, and thoughtfully arranged areas for building, dramatic play, books, and sensory exploration. Each age group has its own rhythm—unhurried infant care, busy toddler discovery, and preschool/pre-K projects that weave together literacy, math, science, and social-emotional learning.

Every room has a nature-inspired name—like Cedar, Juniper, Willow, and Magnolia—because we want children to feel rooted and connected. As children grow, they move through classrooms that gradually offer more responsibility, deeper projects, and practice with skills they’ll need for kindergarten and beyond: listening, expressing themselves, working with others, and caring for their space.

Cedar

One of two infant rooms providing a calm, sunlit nest where babies explore with their senses and build secure bonds with caring teachers. Soft materials, simple mirrors, and cozy nooks invite wonder at a gentle pace.

Juniper

The second of two infant rooms providing a calm, sunlit nest where babies explore with their senses and build secure bonds with caring teachers. Soft materials, simple mirrors, and cozy nooks invite wonder at a gentle pace.

Aspen

One of two toddler rooms where children find a sturdy, joy-filled space for big feelings and first friendships. Low shelves, loose parts, and messy play turn curiosity into discovery all day long.

Magnolia

The second of two toddler rooms where children find a sturdy, joy-filled space for big feelings and first friendships. Low shelves, loose parts, and messy play turn curiosity into discovery all day long.

Hawthorn

A yes-ready room designed for motion, language bursts, and growing independence. Invitations to pour, sort, build, and pretend help children say “I can do it!” with confidence.

Willow

Our second twos space providing a yes-ready room designed for motion, language bursts, and growing independence. Invitations to pour, sort, build, and pretend help children say “I can do it!” with confidence.

Maple

A bustling studio where questions lead the day and projects grow from children’s ideas. Natural materials, small group work, and documentation panels make learning visible.

Hickory

A purposeful atelier (workshop) that blends play and early literacy, math, and problem-solving. Long-form projects, collaborative centers, and reflection time prepare children for a joyful jump to kindergarten.

Your Home

We see the home as a child’s first learning environment, where everyday rhythms—meals, laundry, gardening, bedtime stories—are rich invitations to grow. By partnering with families to co-design simple “learning corners” (a basket of books, loose parts on a tray, a step-stool at the sink) and by sharing documentation and prompts, we extend our Reggio approach so growth flows seamlessly between school and home.

Outdoor Classrooms

The outdoor spaces at The Grove Early Learning Center are extensions of the classroom, not just places to “get the wiggles out.” Children climb, dig, balance on logs, tinker with loose parts, and tend growing things in the garden. We believe scraped knees and muddy shoes often come with big gains in confidence, coordination, and creativity.

Different age groups have developmentally appropriate play areas, but all share the same core experience: fresh air, open-ended materials, and time. Teachers join children outside to support risk-taking that is safe and thoughtful, encourage cooperation, and notice the learning happening in every game, pile of leaves, and puddle.
